about

“Love Has Gone” is the third single to be taken from Netsky’s recently released album “2”. Having already won the prestigious accolade of Zane Lowe’s “Hottest Record In The World”, and with support from Radio One’s finest Fearne Cotton, Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw, Mistajam and DJ Friction, the hype surrounding this release just keeps on building.

Now released as a stand alone single with three exceptional remixes by hot D+B talents Enei and Dub Phizix, alongside an exclusive “Love Must Go On” remix by the man himself and the previously unreleased “Cous Cous”, this digital package transports “Love Has Gone” even further into the limelight.

The original is a soaring anthem with catchy, sing-a-long vocal hook, and euphoric builds with pumping drums and a driving energy. Warm bass and classic Netsky synth work make this the in-demand club anthem it has so quickly become.

Upcoming Russian talent Enei, who you may remember from his twisted re-work of London Elektricity’s “You Gotta Be Crazy” on Hospital last year, transforms it into an altogether darker incarnation with groaning bass, stretched out vocals and spaced out SFX. Dub Phizix, fresh from his incendiary underground hit “Marka”, comes at it from yet another angle – pairing aggressive, tribal beats with a stripped back soundscape, devoid of the joy and euphoria of the original, but maintaining the impact.

Accompanying this are two pieces from the man himself; first up is Netsky’s “Love Must Go On” remix which cleverly re-works the vocal, matching its uplifting tone with a hypnotic disco beat and sweeping instrumental flourishes. “Cous Cous” completes the digital EP, returning to a heavier flavour of dancefloor D+B via a quirky, oriental intro and high-pitched bleepy hook.
